3. Check the result. Open the PNG and verify that the page size, text sharpness, and margins look correct. If the image is blurry, increase the rendering density or export at a higher resolution.

If you prefer a graphical workflow, open the rendered PDF in a desktop viewer or editor and use its export function to save the page as PNG. In many editors this is found under File → Export or File → Save As, depending on the application.

Notes on quality and limitations

ADOC to PNG is a document-to-image conversion, so the output is a fixed-resolution raster image. That means text will no longer be selectable, searchable, or editable as text. If the source document is long, each page usually becomes a separate PNG image unless you intentionally combine pages into one image.

Quality depends heavily on the rendering step. A low-resolution export can make small fonts look soft or jagged, while a higher-resolution export improves clarity at the cost of larger files. Also note that complex AsciiDoc features such as fonts, diagrams, and embedded images may render differently depending on the AsciiDoc processor and PDF/image toolchain used.

For best compatibility, use a modern AsciiDoc processor such as Asciidoctor and a well-supported PDF-to-image tool. If you need a scalable result instead of a raster image, consider exporting to SVG or PDF rather than PNG.
