These are the limits for a typical file. Some formats are capped lower because the conversion itself is heavy: speech transcription, for instance, is limited by minutes of audio rather than by megabytes. The converter always shows the real limit for the page you are on.

What is a credit?

A credit is a unit of work, not a file. A conversion costs according to how long it actually takes on our servers, measured from real runs: an image is cheap, an audio file costs more, and transcribing speech costs the most because it runs for several times the length of the recording. The size of your file scales that cost. A conversion that fails costs nothing.

The Free plan has no credit account at all. It is bounded by how many conversions you may start in a few minutes, and that is the only limit you will meet.

Questions people actually ask

Do I need an account to convert a file?: No. Every converter on the site works signed out, on the Free limits, and it will stay that way. An account raises the limits and a paid plan raises them further.
What happens when I run out of credits?: Nothing breaks. Your allowance renews on a fixed date each month and the converter tells you when that is, so waiting is a real option and it costs nothing. If you cannot wait, moving up a plan takes effect immediately.
Can I cancel?: Any time, in your account. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drops back to Free. Nothing is deleted and no file is lost.
Do you keep my files?: No. Uploads are converted and then deleted from our servers automatically, within hours. We do not read them, we do not train anything on them and we do not pass them to anyone.
Are all formats included in every plan?: Yes. There is no format that is locked behind a plan. What differs is size, batch and speed. Some conversions are capped lower than the plan on purpose, because the tool behind them cannot do more, and the converter tells you the real number before you upload.
Do paid plans remove the ads?: Every paid plan does, from the first one. The ad is not requested at all on a paid account rather than being hidden after the fact.
What about VAT?: Prices are shown without VAT. Where we are required to charge it, it is added at checkout based on the country you give us.
