A special script is available for download from Adobe that gives users the tools needed to direcly import old FreeHand drawings (like .fh10) to Adobe Illustrator and save them as .ai drawings. This option unfortunately seems to be working only for CS4/CS5 versions of Illustrator and does not work for the latest CC, which makes fh10 to ai conversion troublesome.
