Convert FH to AI

Conversion of older FreeHand graphics (.fh) to Illustrator graphics (.ai) is actually not that simple, because no convert that can be used to achieve this directly, exists. Latest versions of Illustrator do not accept FreeHand graphics natively, which makes fh to ai conversion problematic.

Some users report that they had moderate success when using older versions of Illustrator and FreeHand in a virtual machine and exporting the graphics between the programs, but that may lead to some data loss and graphics effect exclusive to FreeHand may not be converted successfully. It appears that also there is a plugin from Tensai available for Illustrator that can be used by users to transfer FreeHand graphics to Illustrator.
