You can find and download a special script from Adobe website that can be used to import old FreeHand drawings (like .fh8 files) directly to Adobe Illustrator and save the graphics to AI format. Such option however, seems to be working only for CS4/CS5 versions of Illustrator and does not work for the latest CC. For very old FreeHand drawings, you might need an older version of Illustrator than CS4.
The database currently does not contain any fh8 file converter.
