What is an InPage document?

InPage, an Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Pushto, and Hazaragi, among others languages, is a typography software that uses the .inp file extension for documents containing text, formatting, and other document data. InPage is an Indian word processor and page layout software. It is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Converting InPage documents

Documents created in InPage can be easily exported to PDF format, but it might not be easy to perform reverse conversion back as a .inp file from a PDF document.

You can try to recover the contents of the PDF document by opening it in some PDF editor or word processing software. Please copy the text from it, import it back to InPage, and save it as .inp document. It is probably impossible to directly convert PDF to InPage, and the software does not support this function.

Steps to conversion from PDF to InPage

  1. First, try converting PDF to Microsoft Word document using Microsoft Word or PDF to DOCX converters. You can use Adobe Acrobat or some PDF tools like SmallPDF or online PDF conversion services.
  2. Open the .docx document in Microsoft Word or another word processor and save it as an RTF (Rich Text Format) file. You can do this in Microsoft Word by going to File > Save As function and selecting RTF from the list of supported file types.
  3. Next, you can import the saved .rtf file into InPage. Open InPage and use the File > Import function. This will import only the text, not images or complex formatting from PDF because the .rtf file format does not support it.
  4. Make your changes and save your progress to the InPage document.
