Does Anki support the import of PDF files?

Older versions of Anki did not support direct import of PDF files, although plugins exist for importing and exporting PDF documents. The usual workaround was to use pictures instead of PDF files, so users had to export their files as JPEGs.

Simply put, it is impossible to convert PDF to APKG directly.
Thus, there is no so-called pdf to apkg converter or a free online .pdf to .apkg converter to be found.
