Notes on quality, compatibility, or limitations

PS to SVG is not always a perfect one-to-one conversion. PostScript can contain advanced page-layout instructions, embedded fonts, and printer-specific behavior that do not map cleanly to SVG. As a result, text may be converted to paths, fonts may change, and some effects may be flattened into simpler shapes or raster images.

Conversion works best for vector artwork, logos, charts, and simple illustrations. Multi-page PS documents are another limitation: SVG is typically a single-image format, so each page usually needs to be converted separately. If the PS file was created for printing, the output SVG may preserve appearance but not remain fully editable in the same way as the original source.

For best results, use a PS file with standard fonts and clean vector content, and verify the SVG in a browser or vector editor after conversion.
