Convert PTG to PNG

Understanding PTG and PNG file formats

PTG is the proprietary file format used by ArtRage, a digital painting software. PTG files store layered artwork, brush strokes, and other painting data, making them ideal for editing within ArtRage. PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a widely supported raster image format known for its lossless compression and support for transparency, making it suitable for web and graphic design.

Why convert PTG to PNG?

Converting a PTG file to PNG allows you to share your artwork outside of ArtRage, use it in other graphic applications, or publish it online. PNG files are universally compatible and maintain high image quality.

How to convert PTG to PNG

Since PTG is a proprietary format, the most reliable way to convert it is by using ArtRage itself. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Open your PTG file in ArtRage.
2. Go to File → Export Image.
3. Select PNG as the export format.
4. Choose your desired export settings and save the file.

If you do not have access to ArtRage, you may try contacting someone with the software or searching for online communities that can assist with the conversion. Currently, there are no reliable online converters that support PTG files due to their proprietary nature.
