You are likely to encounter two types .easm files from SolidWorks eDrawings. First type that is exported just to be used for viewing, measuring and commenting purposes and you cannot convert it back to the original data.
The other type was saved with the "allow save" function enabled, which means they can be exported as STL files for Stereolithography (3D printing). These .easm files can be used to get your .sldprt files back, but it can probably be done only in Solidworks and no 3rd party app may help you here.
With 3rd party programs you would have to convert STL to some generic CAD part format and convert that back to SLDPRT with a program that supports both of these formats.

Understanding EASM and SLDPRT file formats
The EASM file format is an eDrawings Assembly file used primarily for sharing and viewing 3D models. It is a lightweight representation of a CAD assembly, allowing users to view and interact with the model without needing the original CAD software. EASM files are often used for collaboration and review purposes.
The SLDPRT file format, on the other hand, is a SolidWorks Part file. It is a native file format used by SolidWorks, a popular CAD software, to store 3D part models. SLDPRT files contain detailed information about the part's geometry, features, and design intent, making them essential for manufacturing and engineering processes.
Converting EASM to SLDPRT
Converting an EASM file to an SLDPRT file can be challenging because EASM files are primarily intended for viewing rather than editing. However, if you need to convert an EASM file to an SLDPRT file, you will likely need to use specialized software or services that can interpret the EASM format and recreate the model in a format that SolidWorks can understand.
Best software for EASM to SLDPRT conversion
One of the best software options for converting EASM to SLDPRT is SolidWorks itself. If you have access to SolidWorks, you can open the EASM file using the eDrawings Viewer and then use SolidWorks to recreate the model as a part file. Here’s a general approach:
- Open the EASM file in eDrawings Viewer.
- Use SolidWorks to manually recreate the model based on the EASM file.
- Save the recreated model as an SLDPRT file using File → Save As.
Another option is to use a third-party conversion service or software that supports EASM to SLDPRT conversion. However, the accuracy and quality of the conversion may vary depending on the tool used.
