What the WB3 format is

.wb3 is a proprietary binary spreadsheet format used by Corel Quattro Pro, primarily in Quattro Pro 7 and 8. Quality and compatibility checks

Conversion can alter formulas because Quattro Pro and Excel differ in function names, range syntax, date handling, error behavior, and calculation rules. Recalculate the XLSX file and compare important totals, dates, and references with the original, especially when it contains unusual functions, external links, protected sheets, or macros.

Formatting and workbook objects may also change. Check merged cells, column widths, named ranges, charts, print areas, page breaks, headers, footers, hidden sheets, and embedded objects. WB3 macros or other Quattro Pro-specific features may not transfer to XLSX; preserve the original if those features are required.

Keep the original WB3 file unchanged and retain a copy of the converted workbook. If the receiving system rejects the exported file, open it in Excel and use File → Save As to create a new .xlsx file, then verify it again.
