Old versions of CorelDRAW were able to import and edit TTF fonts and it also allowed users export to AI. Such ttf to cdr conversion was often used to edit fonts or add new glyphs (language specific characters) to fonts. Unfortunately, the newest versions of CorelDRAW no longer support this function.
