What the FCSTD format is

How to convert FCSTD to PNG

FreeCAD desktop method:

1. Install and open FreeCAD, then choose File → Open and select the .FCStd file.
2. In the tree view, select the objects that should appear and make unwanted objects invisible with the spacebar. Set the desired camera orientation using the standard-view controls, then use View → Fit all to frame the model.
3. Set display options such as shaded, shaded with edges, or wireframe from the view controls. Choose a background and transparency appropriate for the intended use.
4. Choose View → Save image. Select PNG, set the image width and height, choose the available anti-aliasing or transparent-background options, and save the result.

Quality and compatibility limitations

The output is a rendering of the current view, not a complete export of the 3D model. PNG export may show FreeCAD’s viewport background and display style rather than a publication-ready technical drawing.
