• Materials may not transfer exactly. Alembic often does not carry render-ready material definitions in a way glTF can reproduce perfectly.
• Vertex animation and caches may need baking. glTF supports skeletal animation and morph targets, but not every Alembic animation type maps directly.
• Scene hierarchy may be simplified. Nonessential nodes, constraints, or simulation data may not survive the export.
• Textures must be handled carefully. glTF usually expects external image files or embedded resources, so make sure textures are collected and paths are valid.
• Use .glb if you want easier distribution. The binary glTF variant is often more convenient than a separate .gltf plus texture files.

If your goal is web viewing or real-time use, test the exported file in a glTF viewer after conversion to confirm that animation, scale, and materials look correct.
