Why convert CDR to AFF?

Converting a CDR file to an AFF file is not a common practice, as these formats serve different purposes. However, there might be scenarios where you need to convert vector graphics into a format suitable for digital forensics or data archiving. This conversion can help in preserving the design data in a more versatile format.

Best software for CDR to AFF conversion

Since CDR and AFF are fundamentally different formats, direct conversion might not be straightforward. However, you can use a two-step process involving intermediate formats. First, convert the CDR file to a more common format like PDF or PNG using CorelDRAW. Then, use a digital forensics tool to convert the intermediate file to AFF.

For the first step, you can use CorelDRAW:

• Open your CDR file in CorelDRAW.
• Go to File → Export and choose a format like PDF or PNG.

For the second step, use a tool like FTK Imager to convert the intermediate file to AFF:

• Open FTK Imager and select File → Add Evidence Item.
