The workbook represents hierarchy rather than the original canvas. Branch order may be retained, but coordinates, themes, curved connectors, floating topics, icons, and visual grouping can be omitted or represented as ordinary fields. Review merged cells, indentation, hyperlinks, formulas, and long notes after conversion; spreadsheet applications may display these differently. Keep the original .smmx file because XLSX is an interchange copy, not a complete replacement for SimpleMind’s editable map format.
