How to convert asm to dgn

Direct conversion from ASM to DGN is not natively supported by most CAD software. The process usually involves an intermediate step:

1. Open the ASM file in PTC Creo.
2. Export the assembly to a neutral format such as STEP (.stp/.step) or IGES (.igs/.iges) using File → Save As → Save a Copy and select the desired neutral format.
3. Open the exported file in Bentley MicroStation or Bentley Navigator.
4. Import the neutral file using File → Import and select the STEP or IGES file.
5. Save the imported model as a DGN file using File → Save As and choose the DGN format.
