What the WB1 format is

WB1 is a legacy Quattro Pro for Windows workbook format associated with Borland and later Corel spreadsheet software. A WB1 file can contain cells, formulas, formatting, and more than one worksheet, but modern office applications may not fully support every WB1 variant. The format is mainly encountered in older business records and archived files created with Quattro Pro.

What the JPG format is

JPG, also called JPEG, is a compressed raster-image format supported by web browsers, phones, image editors, and messaging applications. It is suitable when the recipient needs a widely viewable picture rather than editable spreadsheet data. JPEG compression normally produces smaller files than uncompressed images, but it can blur small text, gridlines, and fine formatting.

How to convert WB1 to JPG

Print areas, hidden columns, unsupported formulas, merged cells, and multiple worksheets can affect the rendered result. Inspect each output image, especially when the workbook contains small text or wide tables. Use a large output width or high PDF export resolution, and avoid excessive JPEG compression to reduce text artifacts.

Keep the original .wb1 file for future editing and retain a PDF copy when layout and text quality matter. JPG is intended for visual sharing, not spreadsheet archiving.
