JPEG is lossy, so text, barcodes, and sharp edges may look less crisp than in the original pass or a PNG screenshot. If readability matters, especially for barcodes or QR codes, PNG is often a better choice for the screenshot before any optional JPEG export.

Some passes are signed and may not open cleanly in generic tools if the package is malformed or customized. Also, pass content can change dynamically, so a JPEG capture represents only one moment in time and will not update like the original Wallet pass.
