Why convert ARW to MRW?

Converting ARW to MRW is uncommon, as both are proprietary raw formats from different camera manufacturers. However, you might need to convert for compatibility with specific software or workflows that only support MRW files, or for archival purposes.

How to convert ARW to MRW

Direct conversion between ARW and MRW is not widely supported, as both formats are designed for different camera hardware. Most image editors and converters focus on converting raw files to more universal formats like DNG, TIFF, or JPEG. If you specifically need an MRW file, you may need to use an intermediate format.

• First, convert your ARW file to a universal raw format such as DNG using Adobe DNG Converter or Adobe Lightroom.
• Then, if you have access to software that can export to MRW (which is rare), use it to convert the DNG to MRW. However, most modern software does not support exporting to MRW.

Alternatively, consider converting ARW to a widely supported format like TIFF or JPEG for editing and sharing.
