Convert DOC to AZW

You can certainly convert Microsoft Word Documents to Amazon Kindle eBook Files (.doc to .azw conversion). The AZW ebook file format is essentially a variation of the MOBI format, but differs by being DRM protected.

Since you, most likely, won't need a DRM protection for your ebook, it might be more preferable converting your document to MOBI format.

However, by using tools, such as Calibre (or similar ebook management software) you can easily export your DOC document in AZW format.
