That means the exported sound may differ from what another program would produce from the same score. If the MXL file uses advanced notation features, some details may not import perfectly into every application, which can affect playback accuracy before export.

For best results, verify the score after import, especially tempo markings, instrument assignments, repeats, articulations, and lyrics. Also note that FLAC is lossless, but it cannot improve the quality of the synthesized playback; it only preserves the audio output exactly as rendered.
