What the STL format is
STL commonly means one of two unrelated formats. EBU STL, also called Spruce STL, is a broadcast subtitle format containing caption text, start and end timecodes, styling fields, language metadata, and usually a frame rate. Subtitle authoring and broadcast tools can export it.
Stereolithography STL is a 3D model format created by CAD and 3D-printing programs such as SolidWorks, Blender, Fusion 360, and OpenSCAD. It stores a surface as triangular facets in ASCII or binary form. It does not contain words, lyrics, or timestamps, so it cannot produce a meaningful LRC file.
What the LRC format is
LRC is a plain-text synchronized-lyrics format used by karaoke software, music players, and some mobile audio applications. Each lyric line has a timestamp in square brackets, for example [01:24.50]Line of lyrics. Metadata may use tags such as [ar:Artist], [al:Album], and [ti:Title].
LRC is smaller and simpler than broadcast subtitle formats, but it normally stores only one start time per line. Subtitle features such as end times, positioning, colors, speaker identifiers, reading-speed data, and advanced styling are discarded during conversion.
How to actually convert STL to LRC
First identify the source file. Open it in a plain-text editor: readable caption records and timecodes indicate subtitle STL; binary-looking data or 3D facet records indicate a model STL. Do not rename a 3D file to .lrc.

Quality, compatibility, and limitations
Subtitle STL timecodes are frame-based, whereas LRC timestamps are generally centisecond-based. The conversion must use the correct frame rate and round each frame to the nearest hundredth of a second; an incorrect rate causes increasing drift rather than a constant offset.
Some LRC players support only [mm:ss.xx]lyric lines and ignore metadata or multiple timestamps. Remove speaker labels and formatting codes if the player displays them literally. If captions contain separate start and end times, the end times are not represented in ordinary LRC, so overlapping captions may need to be merged or simplified.
