Individual models or parts from Solid Edge assembly files (.asm) can be exported and converted to other 3D formats, including the IGES exchange standard format (.igs, .iges.), which is what asm to iges conversion essentially represents. This can be mainly done with various dedicated 3D model conversion tools, but should also be possible with some 3D modeling tools. Sometimes requires a special plugin.
