Notes on quality, compatibility, or limitations

MSCX to SVG is a conversion from editable notation to a fixed vector graphic, so the result is no longer a fully editable score. You can view and scale the SVG, but you cannot edit musical notation elements as notation objects in the same way you can in MuseScore.

SVG export quality depends on the score’s fonts, engraving settings, and MuseScore version. If the score uses special music fonts or uncommon symbols, make sure those elements render correctly after export. Text may be converted to paths or depend on installed fonts, which can affect portability.

Also note that SVG is ideal for single-page graphics or excerpts, but multi-page scores may export as separate SVG files or as a workflow that is less convenient than PDF for full-score distribution. If your goal is print-ready sharing, PDF is often better; if your goal is web embedding or scalable graphics, SVG is the better target.
