Important: these tools can help convert PDF into a more usable intermediate format, but they will usually not create CRD directly. If the CRD format belongs to a specific program, the best option is always that program’s own import/export feature.

Quality and limitations

Direct PDF-to-CRD conversion is usually not possible because CRD is not a standard interchange format. Results depend on the exact software that uses the CRD file. If the PDF is scanned, OCR may be required before any meaningful conversion. Layout, fonts, and embedded graphics may not survive perfectly, especially if the CRD application expects structured data rather than page-based content.
