Every time user edits recording (.camrec and .trec in later editions) using Camtasia Studio, the software can save the project as a .camproj file. These files are just references, a bookkeeping mechanism for the edits user makes in his video. This means that camrec to camproj conversion is not possible, but generating .camproj file is possible.
