In order to convert contacts from Excel XLS spreadsheet to a vCard contact file you will have to first export xls to csv and then use any of the available csv to vcf conversion utilities to get a vCard file. If you wish, you can also rename VCF to VCARD as it is the same file format, but programs usually recognize vcf suffix only.
The database currently does not contain any xls file converter.
