It appears that Pinnacle Studio used both .stu and .stx files as projects in previous versions of the software. Perhaps it should be possible to simply open older projects in newer version of the program, but this usually does not work the other way. Unfortunately, we haven't found anything specific or useful about stu to stx conversion on the Internet.
