A program or device that accepts HPI may reject an HTTP Injector configuration saved as EHI, prompting this conversion request. These files normally belong to unrelated formats, so changing the extension cannot make one usable as the other.
What the EHI format is
EHI most commonly denotes an encrypted configuration exported by the Android app HTTP Injector. It can contain proxy or VPN settings, payloads, authentication data, SSH parameters, and connection details. HTTP Injector creates and imports these files; they are not ordinary images, documents, or general-purpose archives.
Open the file in HTTP Injector, preferably the version or compatible release that created it, using Import config or the equivalent command. An EHI may contain credentials, tokens, hostnames, or private payloads, so do not upload it to a public conversion service.
What the HPI format is
HPI is an ambiguous extension, not one universal format. In the Hemera Photo-Objects context, it identifies a proprietary image or photo-library file associated with Hemera Technologies software. That format can retain an image asset together with library-specific catalog information, but it has limited support outside the original or compatible legacy applications.
Other applications, games, and devices also use HPI for unrelated files. Identify the exact program that requires HPI and consult its documentation before choosing a tool; the extension alone does not specify the internal structure, required metadata, or conversion method.
How to handle the conversion request
- Open the EHI in HTTP Injector and confirm that it imports successfully. If the actual requirement is to move the connection configuration, use HTTP Injector's own export, sharing, backup, or manual settings functions instead of converting it to HPI.
- Identify the target HPI implementation from the application or device that will open it. A Hemera HPI, a game archive, and another vendor's HPI file cannot be substituted for one another.
- If the target is a Hemera image, obtain the original image or library asset. EHI contains connection configuration, not the pixel data required for an HPI image. Open the genuine source in Hemera Photo-Objects or compatible legacy software and export an intermediate such as
PNGorJPEGwhen the target application supports those formats. - If the target program provides an HPI import, compiler, or packaging command, use that application-specific tool with the correct source files and metadata. Generic image converters, archive utilities, and HTTP Injector cannot create an arbitrary vendor-specific HPI container.
Compatibility and security limits
Renaming file.ehi to file.hpi changes only the filename. It does not decrypt the EHI, change its structure, add image data, or create HPI metadata. Opening it in a text editor or archive utility will not perform a conversion.
There is no reputable general-purpose online service that can reliably convert EHI to HPI without a documented relationship between the two formats. Online converters listed for HPI usually support only a particular HPI variant, and uploading an EHI can disclose VPN credentials or server information. Keep the original file unchanged and use the source and target applications' documented import or export functions.
Simply put, it is impossible to convert EHI to HPI directly.
Thus, there is no so-called ehi to hpi converter or a free online .ehi to .hpi conversion tool.
