As far as we know, it is not possible to convert Topfield PVR Recordings directly to MP3 Audio Files (.rec to .mp3 conversion), at least not without a simple workaround.
It appears that your best bet would be to first convert REC to MP4. Then, you shouldn't have any issues to convert MP4 to MP3.
You will, most likely, not find any media editing software or (online) conversion tool, which would allow you to convert REC to MP3 directly.
The database currently does not contain any rec file converter.
