How to convert roz to pdf file

Schools and timetable administrators convert .roz files when recipients need a schedule they can open without aSc TimeTables, print, or archive. PDF preserves the timetable’s printed layout, while the original ROZ file remains necessary for later timetable editing.

What the ROZ format is

In the Documents category, ROZ is the proprietary schedule-file format used by aSc TimeTables, a school timetable application. Schools and timetable administrators use ROZ files to store schedules and the application data needed to display or edit them.

ROZ is not a general office format, and changing schedule.roz to schedule.pdf does not convert it. Generic file viewers, text editors, and most file-conversion websites cannot interpret the timetable data reliably.

What the PDF format is

PDF means Portable Document Format. It preserves page size, layout, text, graphics, and print positioning across operating systems, making it suitable for distributing finished timetables, printing them, and keeping an archive copy.

PDF is a presentation format rather than an editable timetable database. It does not preserve aSc TimeTables constraints, scheduling logic, editable entries, or other application-specific data.

How to convert ROZ to PDF

  1. Install or open a compatible version of aSc TimeTables. Use the same or a newer version when possible. Make a backup of the original ROZ file before opening or resaving it.
  2. Choose File → Open in aSc TimeTables and select the .roz file. Confirm that the timetable, rooms, classes, and other required details display correctly.
  3. Open the application’s print preview or printing command. Depending on the aSc TimeTables version, use its PDF export command if available, or choose File → Print and select a PDF printer.
  4. On Windows, select Microsoft Print to PDF, set the paper size, orientation, scaling, page range, and required timetable views, then save the output. On macOS, use Print → PDF → Save as PDF. Other systems can use an installed PDF printer supplied by the operating system or desktop environment.
  5. Open the resulting PDF in a separate viewer. Check every page for clipped columns, incorrect page breaks, missing symbols, substituted fonts, blank pages, and the correct timetable views before sharing it.

Online converters and compatibility limits

There is no generally reliable online converter for aSc TimeTables ROZ files. Do not upload a file to a generic service unless that service explicitly lists aSc TimeTables ROZ as a supported input; an extension-only match can produce an error or an unusable PDF. Uploading school schedules may also disclose student, staff, room, or school information.

Printing through a PDF printer normally preserves the visible result but removes editable timetable data and document structure. Fonts unavailable on the computer running aSc TimeTables can be substituted, and some application-specific elements may not appear in the printed output. If the PDF must be searchable or accessible, inspect its text and reading order after export; a print-generated PDF may contain positioned text or rasterized pages rather than a clean document structure.
