Convert C02 to C01

Understanding c02 and c01 file formats

C02 and C01 files are both parts of a split disk image created by the WinOnCD or CloneCD software. These files are not standalone disk images but segments of a larger image, typically accompanied by a .ccd descriptor file. The C01 file is the first segment, while C02 is the second, and so on. How to convert c02 to c01

Technically, c02 and c01 are not formats to be converted between each other. Instead, they are sequential parts of a split image. If you want to combine or use these files, you need to reconstruct the full disk image from all parts (c01, c02, c03, etc.) using the associated .ccd file.

Best software for handling c02 and c01 files

The recommended software for working with these files is CloneCD by SlySoft (now RedFox). CloneCD can read the .ccd file and automatically combine all the split parts (c01, c02, etc.) to create a usable disk image or burn it to a disc.

• Open CloneCD
• Go to File → Open and select the .ccd file
• CloneCD will recognize and use all associated .c01, .c02, .c03 files
• You can then File → Write to burn the image or use File → Export to create a single image file

Alternatively, IsoBuster can also open .ccd files and extract the contents from the split image parts.
